The soundstages of The Hollywood Production Center were packed with pageant contestants, as the sixth annual Miss Florida Teen USA Seminar Day was a big success! The day was all about getting to know pageantry the Miss Florida Teen USA way and our aspiring delegates were certainly paying attention.

Up first was a meet and greet where the attendees and their families got to know one another. It was great to see the families and pageant directors there to support their young ladies. Several shopping opportunities were available with jewelry, skin care and of course pageant videos for sale. Then it was off to the television soundstages for a day of pageantry!

First up was a video featuring the highlights from last years television broadcast. Then it was time for self introductions throughout the audience. No small feat as there were well over 100 attendees for seminar day.  Then it was time to make a special announcement! This year the pageant is returning to it’s traditional top fifteen semifinalists. This was after a unanimous vote by this year contestants.

After the opening announcements it was time to unveil the competition weekend schedule to the attendees. Executive Producer Grant Gravitt, Jr. presented a video presentation allowed the girls to see last years “behind the scenes video” at state so they know what to expect. They also got to see how much fun a pageant can truly be!  The first session ended with Interview make-up tips from Leslie Ann of Crown Cosmetics.

Then it was time for a seminar break! This allowed more time for the young ladies and their families to make new friends and ask questions for the pageant staff. This is going to be such a fun year as the halls were filled with giggles and laughter. Friends were being made left and right! Adding a special ingredient were the Miss Florida USA Channel cameras capturing all of the fun.

Back to business as up next was Regalia Fine Apparels Cary O’Neil who took the delegates through the interview, swimsuit and gown phases of the competition. They spoke to our aspiring delegates about age appropriate evening gowns and swimsuits. Notes were being taken as selecting the perfect competition wardrobe was the topic.

Miss Hastey then was the guest of honor as she spoke of a fun two years preparing for her Miss Teen USA appearance. Then she gave tips to help all of this years delegates, the day ended with a standing ovation for the great year representing Florida by Miss Hastey.

All during the session freebees and gifts were either handed or raffled off to our guests. These prizes included various home video titles from our seminar sponsor, pageantdiva.com and The Don Baker Video. The seminar day was also sponsored by Tel-Air Interests and The Hollywood Production Center.
