Water Park Day!

A very early call awaited cast and crew for day number two of Miss Florida Teen USA Pre Tape Weekend. The Hollywood Production Center served as the gathering point for the families. After morning announcements from television director Grant Gravitt, Jr it was time to caravan to the Westin Diplomat Landings. Awaiting the ladies was a morning of show openings and modeling prizes under the beautiful morning sun.

Our host for the morning was the Westin Diplomat and the Grand Floridian Yacht on the Intracoastal Waterway. With the palms and waterway as the background the ladies looked absolutely beautiful before the cameras. Then we continued modeling this years Miss Florida Teen USA Prize Collection. On board and on the marina the delegates looked beautiful modeling Regalia Fine Apparels fall collection. The yacht was absolutely stunning as the final prize modeling of the morning was our FICA collection. The ladies stayed cool as they displayed the winter collection. The pictures were well worth the efforts as our supermodels made this segment.

Then it was off to West Hollywood for a lunch that was uniquely South Florida. The very popular Pollo Tropicale host the ladies for a lunch of grilled chicken featuring an 8-hour marinade in the Caribbean secret sauce “Mojo”! Then it was black beans & rice, yellow rice with veggies, salads and plantains that were quite the hit of the day! Thank you Pollo Tropical!

 

With full stomachs it was off to Tuppeekeegee Yuggnee (TY) Park and their world famous water park! No slide was safe as our ladies had the chance to let their hair down and have a fun afternoon in and among the waterfalls. This afternoon was all about making new friends and just having a blast. Then it was time to head back home as the optional Miss Florida Teen USA Family Dinner at Mama Mia’s on Hollywood’s Young Circle later that evening. Then it was off to bead as tomorrow is a day of for the television crew but a mandatory Seminar Day for our ladies!
